UK Girl Bands Attack!

Autumn is here an mountains of releases happen. Anastacia and Pink the most remarkable ones. Sugababes following close. And now the girl bands are ready to attack too. The Saturdays will release their first album 'Chasing Lights' following their success with 'If This Is Love' and now the great 'Up', both top ten hits in the UK Charts. Girls Aloud, the band that gets better with every album, will release too their new album shortly, with the release of their new single 'The Promise'. So many releases will leave us breathless and I hope I have time to digest them all. As soon as I have listened to the new albums I will let you know how good they are. For now I can say Anastacia's sounds amazing.


El otoño esta aqui y montañas de lanzamientos occurren. Anastacia y Pink los mas extraordinarios de momento, con Sugababes siguiendolos de cerca. Y ahora los grupos de chicas estan listos para el ataque tambien. The Saturdays lanzaran su primer disco despues del exito de 'If This Is Love' y ahora mismo 'Up', ambos en el top 10 del UK Charts. Girls Aloud, otra banda que mejora con cada album, lanzara nueva trabajo muy pronto despues del lanzamiento del single 'The Promise' que sera seguro un exito. Tan pronto haya escuchado los nuevos albums os dire que tal estan, pero por ahora el de Anastacia es una autentica maravilla.

Beyonce's new song' If I Were A Boy', a part from is a harsh message to men in general, saying how horrible they treat women. However, the song is really beautiful and one of the best from this lady. Beyonce will release a double CD album in November called 'I Am... Sasha Fierce'. Not sure why this will be double other than the pace of each CD, but being the deluxe edition an 8 track per CD job, I don't understand why she couldn't put all in one CD only or add more tracks to the other two. Still, looking forward to listening to it very much as she's always very impressive in all her work. On the other hand, she has release another track called 'Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It)' which is the first song fro CD2, same as 'If I Were A Boy' is the first song in CD1, making us believe that one CD will be rather slow and the second one more uptempo. Let's see what suprises the new album unleashes, but for now enjoy these two new songs.

La nueva cancion de Beyonce 'If I Were A Boy', a parte de usar la gramatica equivocada, es un mensaje terrible hacia los hombres en general, contando que mal tratan a las mujeres. Sin embargo, la cancion es preciosa y una de las mejores de esta dama. Beyonce lanzara al mercado su nuevo disco en Noviembre, un doble CD llamado 'I Am... Sasha Fierce'. No se seguro porque sera doble, especialmente ya que la edicion de lujo tendra 8 canciones por CD, pudiendo ponerlas todas en uno o incluyendo mas canciones. pero la explicacin mas logica es que el CD1 sera mas lento y el CD2 mas movido. La primera cancion del CD1 es 'If I Were A Boy' y la primera del CD2 es 'Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It)', que seguramente sera su siguiente single, del que ya tenemos video musical disponible. Veamos que sopresas nos trae su nuevo album, pues esta mujer siempre nos trae trabajo de mucha calidad y nunca decepciona.

Britney's Back On Track

Britney Spears released not long ago her latest single 'Womanizer' topping the US charts, preparing for the release of her new album 'Circus' on 1/12/2008. She seems to be back on track. Though we could say she seems to be back where she left it before her meltdown with the video for 'Womanizer'. It's very much on the vein of 'Toxic'. Lots of references to it, like her dancing, sexy moves and even the guy with glasses that appeared in the plane scene shows up here in the photocopy machine scene. Check it out, it's quite funny and she seems to be ready to take on the world again. The music and the singing are not all that great, but this song will probably stay in your head for days.

Britney parece estar de nuevo en plena forma. O mejor dicho, parece haber vuelto donde lo dejo despues de su single 'Toxic'. El video de 'Womanizer' comparte muchos aspectos con 'Toxic'. El baile, los movimientos sexy e incluso el hombre con gafas que salia en la escena del avion, aparece aqui en la escena de la fotocopiadora. Es bastante divertido y ella parece lista para conquistar el mundo de nuevo. La musica y voz no son lo mas fantastico, pero esta cancion va a estar en tu mente durante varios dias.

Let's Make Way For Avenue

A few weeks ago I received an e-mail from Island Records recommending me a new boy band. Their name is Avenue. Their names are Andy, Max, Scott, Ross and Jonny. I got curious, as such a label wouldn´t advertise a band unless they were pretty confident of possible success and that they had some good quality. I checked out their first single 'Last Goodbye' out of interest then and I was quite impressed. The music quite upbeat and energetic and some of the boys can actually sing. Some of them seem pretty good looking too, so the mix of all makes quite a possible success formula. Let´s see if they make it to the charts, as their single was supposed to have been released in September and at day today no sign of them in the charts. But did they really appear out of the blue? A bit of their story.

They tried to take part in the X Factor talent show. They did very well as they got to boot camp. But it seems they had some kind of management before they entered the contest and that was breaking one of the golden rules of the show, so they effectively got desqualified. They fortuantely were not forgotten and they got together some good producers and a contract with a good label and good A&R. And today I´m telling you about them as it looks like they could make it. I will keep you posted if they do. For now enjoy their first single 'Last Goodbye'.

Surfing the internet I bumped into this video. Tamia is a canadian singer with a beautiful voice, but unfortunately it seems only some of her songs made it into Europe. One of which was 'Stranger In My House'. The remix was a total scorcher back then. Below you can listen to her latest hit in the US, 'Me' y su remix, where you can listen her soulful voice and dramatic lyrics that remain the same as on her second album. Shame she doesn't come to Europe more often. Check out the huge difference there is between the original song and the remix. Two jewels in their areas.

Navegando por internet encontre este video. Tamia es una cantante canadiense con una bellisima voz, pero que desafortunadamente para que tan solo algunas de sus canciones llegan a Europa. Uno de sus hits fue 'Stranger In My House'. El remix fue un autentico bombazo a principios de este milenio. Aqui podeis escuchar su ultimo sencillo en USA, 'Me' y su remix, donde podeis escuhar su maravillosa voz y sus dramaticas letras. Un pena que no venga mas por Europa. Because Pink is back and sounds stronger than ever. Her previous studio effort 'I'm Not Dead' was wondeful and her upcoming album 'Funhouse', to be release during the autumn, seems ready to take over the world all over again with her first single 'So What' to be released in September in the UK. Watching the video you would think that she is totally bitter about her divorce from her ex-husband Carey Hart (Motocross Rider), but seeing that he is actually doing several cameos in it shows that they are still in the best of terms regardless of the divorce. This song is getting a lot of airplay already and in my humble opinion, it sounds great. Check for yourselves.

Pink esta de vuelta y suena mas fuerte que nunca. Su previo trabajo de estudio 'I'm Not Dead' fue fantastico y su proximo trabajo 'Funhouse', que se espera sea lanzado al mercado este otoño, parece listo para conquistar el mundo entero de nuevo con su primer single 'So What'. Viendo el video se podria pensar que esta furiosa con su ex-marido Carey Hart (piloto de motocross) despues de su divorcio a principios de año, pero viendo la cantidad de veces que el mismo aparece en el video, podriamos asegurar que son muy buenos amigos aunque se hayan divorciado. Esta cancion esta sonando en todas las emisoras de radio ahora mismo y, en mi humilde opinion, suena genial. Escuchadla y ver que opinais vosotros mismos.

Duffy, From Here To The End Of The Universe

Duffy will release my favourite song from her acclaimed debut album 'Rockferry'. I love this song and I think it's an absolute gem on today's music world. It will be released in the UK on 1st September 2008. It charted already at the beginning of 2008due to download sales, but the official release will be shortly. It seems her other song 'Serious' was the one to be release before this one, but just a few weeks ago this idea was discarded and taken the decision to release 'Steppting Stone' insteaad, which I think was the best choice possible. Submerge yourselves in this complete joy for your ears.

Duffy sacara muy pronto su cuarto sencillo de su aclamado album de debut 'Rockferry'. Es de calle mi cancion favorita de este album y me parece una absoluta joya en el mundo musical de hoy en dia. Este nuevo sencillo saldra a la venta el dia 1 de Setiembre en el Reino Unido, aunque parece que ya estuvo en los ranking de ventas a principios de 2008 debido a ventas por internet. Sin embargo el lanzamiento oficial sera el proximo mes. Al parecer se pretendia sacar primer otra de sus cancions, 'Serious', pero tomaron la acertada decision de cambiar de idea y sacar este en su lugar. Well, here are the hottest and what has caught my attention lately (which might not be the newest). After a little break without posting I will add some videos straight away and give story to what develpes the most, as there is definitely potential for big bangs here, as it is already Katy Perry (number 1 in the UK charts and was in the US) or Miley Cyrus in the US. There is a new Sugababes album to be release in October and their new single is already playing everywhere... However, I expected better than them than a cover, but hey, they make it sound great as usual. Let's hope the album is a lot more than this though. Enjoy!

Pues bueno, aqui estan las novedades y canciones que me han llamado la atencion ultimamente (no necesariamente nuevas). Despues de un descanso en el blog, aqui os traigo algunas cositas que pueden ser autenticos bombazos, pues tienen mucho potencial, como por ejemplo Katy Perry (numero 1 en el Reino Unido y USA) y Miley Cyrus en Estados Unidos. Tambien hay novedades de las Sugababes, que van a sacar nuevo disco en Octubre, y su nuevo single ya esta inundando las ondas de radio a todas horas... Sin embargo esperaba mas de ellas que una version de un clasico, aunque fantasticamente hecho, como siempre ellas consiguen.
